Black Diamond hosted a FAM trip to Japan for travel agents on behalf of Setouchi Tourism Authority and Kyushu Tourism Promotion Organization. The agents won places on the trip after signing up to the Setouchi Training Platform as part of an incentive with British Airways. After arriving in Osaka on BA’s new direct route from London Heathrow, the group took the speedy bullet train west to Okayama to start their week-long trip exploring several places in both the Setouchi region and on the island of Kyushu. A few of the highlights included the beautiful Korakuen Garden, the massive Akiyoshido Cave, the breathtaking torii gates of Fukutoku Inari Shrine and the moving Peace Park and Atomic Bomb Museum in Nagasaki. Additionally, the group got to take part in several immersive cultural experiences throughout the trip, such as a sushi-making class, sake tasting, pottery making and colouring a traditional flag.
