Black Diamond has been appointed by the Vale of Glamorgan as their first PR agency for the UK following a competitive pitch process. Through targeted campaign activity, Black Diamond will help grow recognition of the Vale of Glamorgan’s diverse offerings during this important staycation summer, while promoting year-round visitation. Nia Hollins, Principal Tourism & Marketing Officer at the Vale of Glamorgan Council, said: “We are incredibly excited to be working alongside such an innovative and results-driven agency in Black Diamond on this Destination PR campaign. We see Black Diamond as best placed to take us forward and to ensure that our tourism industry emerges stronger than ever placing the Vale of Glamorgan on every staycationer’s map and making it a must-visit, must-stay destination in Wales.” The Vale of Glamorgan covers the area of four micro-destinations to the west of Cardiff. From the Victorian seaside town of Penarth to the market town of Cowbridge and the Rural Vale, with its vineyards, farm shops and independent local producers; the unspoilt 14-mile Glamorgan Heritage Coast of Llantwit Major and the recently revamped iconic Barry Island.
